Utrecht has signed Sébastien Haller on loan from Borussia Dortmund. The transfer is complete and Haller returns to Utrecht after 7.5 years.

What happened?

Haller was loaned to CD Leganés by Dortmund in the first half of the season, but it was not a great success. Utrecht saw that too and hoped to benefit from it by offering Haller a way out.

Why is this important for Utrecht?

With the arrival of Haller, Ron Jans' team gets an experienced striker. Haller also played for Utrecht between 2015 and 2017 and scored 51 goals in 98 games.

What comes next?

Haller said goodbye to his teammates at Leganés, passed the medical examination at Utrecht, and the contract has now been signed. This means that the striker is back in the Domstad after 7.5 years.
